Alaska Woodcrafters originally started in 1996 as Above All Furniture Repair. This was a result of a
moving company in need of a wood worker to repair their furniture in a timely and professional
fashion. In 2005 Bill Poole had the opportunity to buyout Above All Furniture Repair and changed the
name to Alaska Woodcrafters.
At Alaska Woodcrafters we’re dedicated to our craft and our ability to serve the state of Alaska. We
specialize in building top of the line custom furniture along with repairing and refinishing
furniture. Alaska Woodcrafters is located in Anchorage off Old Seward on East 68th.
Building and repairing furniture is an art form that takes years to master, with 20 years of
experience in the fine art of woodworking, Alaska Woodcrafters can help! I’m convinced that you
cannot adequately repair furniture until you truly understand the dynamics behind building furniture.
Wood is always moving either expanding or contracting given its particular environment. Not taking
note to this will result in a cracked, warped, or broken piece of furniture. That is why it is best
to leave some things to the professionals. In the case of woodworking Alaska Woodcrafter’s diligence
